WWE RAW 7/20/15 Review

WWE RAW - the spectacle of Monday night television. The best wrestlers in the world today plying their trade all hoping to get a big push towards gold. An action packed RAW full after much speculation after last night's Battleground!.

WWE Monday Night RAW
Sprint Center, Kansas City, MO
Episode: #1156

Let's start nice and early with the biggest story-line of the night, and most probably the biggest story-line of recent time - of course I'm talking about WWE's main attraction Brock Lesnar taking on the returning Undertaker. WWE, you played this magnificently. A lot of fans record RAW and watch it the next day, especially in my home country of England, however with the anticipation of Brock and Taker, you just had to stay up. And boy, was it worth it!

The night started with The Undertaker cutting a bloody good promo. The crowd was disappointing; when Undertakers signature dong hit. the crowd reacted as if he wrestled every week. Did they not realize this is the Undertaker? In the last year we've seen him once at Wrestlemania 31!

Still, the match then got set by Triple H and Stephanie McMahon - by the way, I don't care if you moan and groan, RAW is much better with these two on it. Triple H called Paul Heyman and told him take the night off, although Heyman turned out "without" Brock Lesnar. All Heyman wanted to do was relay a message.

No feud for Rollins?
In true Paul Heyman fashion, within minutes he had managed to sell the SummerSlam main event. It had gone from a "I can't wait" to a "Holy S**t I have to see this match!". If that wasn't enough, the dong hit again and from the darkness appeared the Undertaker. With Heyman backed into a corner, weeping for mercy, it was his client who came to save the day, as the Beast, Brock Lesnar flew into the ring for a brawl which lasted ten minutes with Triple H ordering half the locker room and security to separate them. The fight sprawled backstage until local police handcuffed Brock Lesnar and arrested him. There was no commentary for this as Michael Cole, JBL and Byron Saxton ran away when Brock came to the ring. I guess they remembered the night after Wrestlemania.

Other than that we really got nothing more concrete in regards to SummerSlam. The question on everyone's mind is, who will WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins face at the event? Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose look set to face Wyatt and Harper, Brock Lesnar is tied up with The Undertaker. The rumor was Sting but he hasn't showed up yet. On RAW, what we witnessed was a slander match between Rollins and the US Champion John Cena. Is Cena going to face him at SummerSlam? What happens with the US Title? An open challenge on RAW, Seth Rollins interferes and costs him the title? Could do!
Team B.A.D.

Can you believe that we had two, long lasting divas matches on RAW?! I was shocked. However, putting the other team on commentary when representatives of the others are fighting doesn't work! Naomi, "Tina" and Sasha Banks can't cut heel promo's of the top of their heads and Alicia Fox and Brie Bella don't dare to speak when Nikki's around. When you see my match ratings you'll see I rated these two matches the best of the night.

One last thing before I show you the card and my ratings - BIG SHOW SUCKS. What was the point of that segment other to plug he was on Tough Enough on Tuesday? He squashed the Miz, no-one was sure whether he was face or heel, then cut a god awful heel promo about Ryback. I hope this rivalry is wrapped up soon so something better can be done with the Intercontinental Title.

All in all RAW was a pretty good show. It's still to early to get full indication of what's happening at SummerSlam but we do know there's a Wrestlemania 30 rematch - The Legendary, Undertaker takes on the "1 in 21-1" (Which, by the way, is 22-1 now) Brock Lesnar.
