WWE NXT 7/22/15

WWE's talent developmental brand took center stage on the WWE Network with a new set of episodes from the recent TV Taping's.  Returns from Bayley, Kevin Owens and the new NXT Champion Finn Balor, as well as a debut, this week promised to be thoroughly entertaining!


Let's start with the opening segment. Finally, the new NXT Champion Finn Balor is back on NXT! Two weeks ago he won the NXT Title at Beast in the East from KO Kevin Owens, and now both of them returned. The show started off with an in-ring interview with Balor. The best part about the segment was Finn Balor doing the Bullet Club hand gesture to the fans! WWE will most likely say it was the "too sweet" gesture used by the klique and NWO. Still, the crowd was unreal during that segment, and how many "Bullet Club" t-shirts were ringside!

Let's talk about Eva Marie. She made her NXT debut and got, let's say a mixed reaction. She came out, looking extremely hot by the way, and throughout her match the NXT audience adopted the famous Cena chant - "Let's go Eva, Eva Sucks!" I think the reason fans are against Eva Marie is because in every interview she claims that the WWE is her dream, yet last year she thought SummerSlam was called SuperSlam. Not only that, when she was on the main roster she wasn't very good. But isn't that the point of NXT? Give her a chance, I think she's really good. Look at the Bellas, they were pretty bad however since training with Daniel Bryan they have both hugely improved. Let's hope Brian Kendrick can have the same impact on Eva.

Another issue I'd like to address is the tag team division. Why are the Vaudevillians getting a tag team title shot when Enzo Amore and Big Cass are super over right now? It seems a huge waste of a match. The Vaudevillians get there shot next week so hopefully there dragging it out for Enzo Amore and Big Cass to get there title match at NXT Takeover.

Lastly, we have the contract signing between the NXT Champion Finn Balor and former champion Kevin Owens for the rematch. I'm going to break some hearts - I prefer KO vs. Balor over Zayn vs. KO. If it wasn't for Sami Zayn's injury it would be the other way round, Zayn would be on the main roster, which is why he came out the week before KO. I'm unsure now, with the news that KO is being dropped from the US Title picture. Could he regain his title?
