Welcome everybody who is reading and thank you for finding yourself on this article, whether by accident or on purpose. This is the first ever article in the Daily Dropkick series. In today's article we look at SummerSlam, a potential rivalry between Ring of Honor and Global Force Wrestling and the continuous plummet of TNA.
Future for KO? |
It makes sense because that amazing momentum and heat Kevin Owens had has died off. He dominated NXT before coming up to the main roster where everything changed. The heat on him after Elimination Chamber was immense. However, he lost to Cena at Money In The Bank, which made sense, but then went and lost again at Beast In The East and lost a third straight time at Battleground. Kevin Owens isn't that powerful man we thought he would be!
Let's stay with WWE for a moment and look towards its next pay per view event - SummerSlam 2015. What we know is Brock Lesnar will face The Undertaker in the main event, however it seems despite speculation, Sting might not fight there! We thought Sting would face Seth Rollins for the title, but if RAW is anything to go by that match will be against Cena. Also, Sting hasn't featured on SummerSlam's poster, but its still early days.
Ended to soon? |
Former TNA wrestler Nick Aldis, who wrestled under the name Magnus, has blamed TNA's writing team for the demise in TNA - talking about the god awful train segment with his wife Mickie James and how the TNA World title was taken of him too early. This all happened during an interview with "PodNasty".
Aldis joined Jeff Jarrett's new promotion Global Force Wrestling following Slammiversary. GFW have grown a rivalry with Ring of Honor by the looks of things! Ring of Honor have sent an cease and decist letter to GFW after they run an advert announcing that Ring of Honor stars will appear at GFW Tapings on Friday in Las Vegas. Hmm. This Friday Ring of Honor host an iPPV in Baltimore so I believe this is very unlikely to happen.
